I recorded this on Christmas Eve at the Erskine Bridge Hotel. After I’d stopped the camera, I found that the iron wasn’t actually hot enough.
Transcription:
“So, just doing a bit of ironing for Christmas Day. I think I’m going to wear my Taylor & Wright shirt with epaulettes on, and my black tie with, er, white squares on it.
“I’ve just had an ironing board sent up, and an iron, now the iron doesn’t look particularly, er, substantial, and, er, I’ve had an awful job filling it for some reason. It doesn’t… I can’t… I can’t even see how much water’s inside it, but let’s hope… let’s hope that it’s warmed up, let’s hope that it’s done the trick.
“And if the cable stretches…
“Yeah, certainly hot enough anyway.
“Okay, well I’ll, I’ll just finish this off, you carry on. Okay?”
