“At the start of the year, I promised myself I’d read twenty-six books this year, that’s one every fortnight.
“I’m on my second. Bravo Two Zero, and I’m about a third of the way through it, making quite good progress with it. The problem was my first book was Moby Dick.
“Now, I wish I’d read the abridged version because, I do like the story, I like the ending, the trouble is Herman Melville goes on so many little polemics and essays that it’s really difficult to get through. I found myself saying, ‘Just tell the blooming story.’
“But even tho’ it’s June, I reckon I can still make the twenty-six, all I need to do is read another twenty-four. It seems simple, doesn’t it?
“Also, if any of you know where I can a Blockbusters branded e-book, erm, you might have seen the new series on Challenge, erm, I would love to get my hands on one of them, just to show it off. So if you know, leave a comment.
